What you can play.

Games to play with others, and training modes to get better on your own. Queue alone or with your party, from the Atlas in your hotbar.

Modes and their names are a working list and will change before launch.

Games

Duel

Solo, 2 players.

Rounds take about 4 minutes.

Two players, one kit, first to two. Kits are fixed per queue: sword, bow, mace, or no armour at all. In Training you fight the clock and your own best; in Pro every duel moves your rating.

  • Fixed kits per queue, so the fight is about you
  • Best of three, about four minutes
  • Drills against the clock when nobody's online

BedWars

Teams of 4, up to 32 players.

Rounds take 15 to 25 minutes.

Your island has a bed. While it stands, your team comes back. Collect resources, buy gear, bridge to the enemy and break theirs.

  • Teams of four, up to eight teams
  • Bridge, rush, defend, break
  • The classic, the way you know it

SurvivalGames

Solo, 24 players.

Rounds take 12 to 18 minutes.

One life, a shrinking map, loot in chests. The last one standing wins. There are no anchors on an expedition, which is why nobody respawns.

  • 24 players, one life each
  • Loot, a shrinking map, the last one standing
  • Solo or duo queues

Keystone

Teams of 2, 4 players.

Rounds take 8 to 12 minutes.

Build a bridge across the gap, set the keystone, hold the far side. The bridge only bears weight once the keystone is in.

  • Teams of two race to bridge a gap
  • The bridge holds only once the keystone is in
  • Short rounds, lots of building

GetDown

Solo, up to 16 players.

Rounds take 3 to 5 minutes.

Drop down the shaft and reach the bottom first without hitting the ground too hard. Short rounds, no gear, pure movement.

  • Up to 16 players drop at once
  • Pure movement, no gear
  • Rounds of three to five minutes

SkyWars

Solo, up to 12 players.

Rounds take 6 to 10 minutes.

Every player starts on a small island in the sky. Loot the chests, bridge to the middle for the better gear and knock everyone else into the void. Solo and team queues; the last one standing wins.

  • Every player starts on their own island
  • Loot fast, bridge faster
  • The void is the edge of the map

Battlegrounds

Solo, up to 48 players.

Rounds take 15 to 20 minutes.

A battle royale on a large map. Everyone drops in at once, finds gear on the way and fights inside a border that keeps closing in. Solo, duo and squad queues; the last player or team standing wins.

  • A big map and up to 48 players
  • Drop in, gear up, outlast
  • A border that closes in

Training

Practice modes for one skill at a time. Nothing here touches a rating.

Stickfight

Solo, 2 to 8 players.

Rounds take 1 to 2 minutes.

Everyone gets a knockback stick and nothing else, on a platform with no railings. Hit the others off and stay on yourself. Good for practising knockback, spacing and hit timing between real matches.

  • Knockback sticks only
  • Small platforms, short rounds
  • Practise spacing and hit timing

Bridge practice

Solo, one player.

Rounds take as long as you like.

Courses for every bridging technique, from plain speed bridging to ninja, breezily and god bridging. Each course has a timer and resets you to its start when you fall. Your best time per course goes on your profile.

  • Speed bridging courses with a timer
  • Ninja, breezily and god bridge drills
  • Your best times on your profile

Ways to play

Separate from the modes: how much a match should count for you. Which modes offer which way isn't decided yet.

Training

Drills and duels against the clock. Personal numbers only, nothing feeds a leaderboard.

Personal bests and drill times. Nothing feeds a leaderboard.

Casual

Every mode, no rating, no decay. Play with whoever is online.

No rating, no ranking, no decay. Parties of any size.

Pro

A rating per mode, a division, and a place in the Echo Ring if you earn it.

A rating and a division per mode, reset each season.

How a match counts

In Pro, every match moves your rating in that mode and nowhere else. Ratings and divisions reset each season, and the top sixteen per mode have their names in the Echo Ring in the lobby.

Every match in every track, Training and Casual included, delivers Vaerith to the season's city project. The city rebuilds itself from what players do in it.

Nothing you can buy changes a match. The rating and matchmaking code is published on GitHub, so you can check how it works instead of taking our word for it.

Three questions

Is any of this pay-to-win?
No. One supporter rank exists to fund the project, and nothing you can buy changes a match or a rating. The matchmaking and rating code is public on GitHub.
Can I play on Bedrock?
Not yet. Java Edition first; Bedrock follows, and we'll say when.
Where do I queue?
In the lobby. Open the Atlas in your hotbar and pick a mode. There's no queue on the website.

See you in the gate hall.

Java Edition 26.2. Bedrock to follow.
